Constitution
of the Cave Conservation and Management Section
of the National Speleological
Society, Inc. As amended 5 July 2005 Conservation Section Home
I. The name of this organization shall be the Cave Conservation and Management Section of the National Speleological Society, Inc.
II. The purpose of this section shall be to promote interest in, to develop and to advance in any and all ways the study and practical application of the techniques of cave conservation and management, the wise management of caves and their natural contents, and to promote fellowship among those interested therein.
IV. Membership in this Section shall be open to all persons who are members in good standing of the National Speleological Society, who are interested in cave conservation and management, and who have complied with conditions of membership set forth in the Bylaws.
V. An annual meeting of the
Section shall be held during the annual convention of the
VI. By-Laws shall be adopted by a majority vote of the members present at the annual meeting.
VIII. Charter members of the Section shall be those persons signing this constitution, or otherwise becoming members, w1th six months of the first annual meeting of the Section.
IX This constitution may be amended by a 2/3 vote of the members attending an annual meeting.
X. Officers of this Section shall be a President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, and five Officers-At-Large.
