Guests

Visitors are welcome to join us during one of the scheduled activities listed above.

Cavers who are properly equipped will usually be able to join one of the teams doing various projects in the Perkins Cave.

It is expected that guests will notify us in advance of their attendance plans.

Perkins Cave is closed to sport caving and spelunking for conservation reasons.  All trips into Perkins Cave are guided by a qualified caver in order to protect the cave from accidental and other damage and to help ensure the safety of the guest.

ACC – DOM Event Notice

The Appalachian Cave Conservancy activities and the DOM annual event are hosted at Perkins Cave. Cave activities start at the Preserve field house at the Wilson Farm in Washington County, Virginia

The Preserve road has been graded; however, the stone and gravel have not been placed on it.  In the event that the ground is wet the road may be difficult for two wheel drive cars.  The shoulders are particularly soft and even four wheel drive vehicles could have difficulty if driven onto the shoulders, so stay on the road bed.

If you need directions call or email me at the usual numbers.

Thanks

John
