1 Cave is open
to all responsible cavers. Please refer to the management plan for details. The
lock combination or key is available from the manager.
2 Cave is
open to all responsible cavers. Suggest that a courtesy permission request be
made to the manger.
3 At the
request of the property owner, the cave is not available for unsupervised
recreational caving. All access to this cave will have a leader and supervisor
from the management committee. Generally most trips into this cave are for
conservation, science or other important management purposes.
The ACC
recommends that cave clothing and equipment be cleaned
before entering any ACC managed cave.

SICLEO System
The following is
the sequence of cave protection levels that I proposed at the Cave
Conservancies Session at the 2001 NSS Convention. See the
program abstract on the events page of this site. The goal is to
have a sequence of cave protection strategies that could be
applied as appropriate to each potential cave management
situation. This proposal lists the six levels one should consider in
order when deciding to protect, manage, and conserve a cave. They
are:

2. Informal management

3. Contract
4. Lease
5. Conservation Easement
6. Own
